Come and Meet Winnie, our gorgeous Binturong

Our Binturong Keeper Experience gives you the incredible opportunity to get up close to Winnie, where you can help to feed him his favourite snacks and learn all about these ‘bearcats’ who actually are neither a bear, nor a cat! Binturongs have a unique smell too, similar to buttery popcorn, and so being up close and personal you will also no doubt get to smell that too! This unique experience will be available on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday's at 12.15/30pm and is limited to a maximum group size of 4.

*Please note this experience is only suitable for children aged 6 years and over.

Zoo admission is included in the price for the participant. Normal admission tickets are required for accompanying adults and children.

Enjoy an adult croc keeper experience – spend time working with the keepers, meeting many of our animals up close, helping with the feeding and getting hands-on around the zoo, whilst learning all about our crocodilian friends on the way! We promise you a unique and rewarding adult croc keeper experience rounded off with a special commemorative certificate. 

This experience is available to those aged 15 years and above.

Please note: Admission to the zoo is included as part of the keeper experience. Participants do not need to purchase an entry ticket, but any other guests will need to buy tickets which can be purchased on arrival at the zoo or purchased online.

Our Meet the Meerkats Experience gives you the opportunity to get up close to these highly sociable and fascinating creatures, helping to feed the animals their favourite snacks and learn about their way of life. This unique experience is available daily at 10:30am and is limited to a maximum group size of six.

Come meet the true GIANTS of the tortoise world…

Crocodiles of the World is the ONLY zoo in the UK where you can enjoy a Giant Galapagos tortoise experience  and meet the largest living species of tortoise in the world.  You’ll enter our Galapagos tortoise enclosure and meet our gentle giants! Our fully grown male Dirk is the largest tortoise in the UK and he lives alongside his three female companions Zuzu, Isabella and Charlie.  Galapagos tortoises are not only the largest living tortoise species, but are also some of the most endangered. Our Giants may look familiar as they all featured on Channel 5’s Big Week at the Zoo and our females were regulars on Channel 4’s Secret Life of the Zoo.

Help feed our impressive group of Nile Crocodiles

Watching our Nile crocodiles jump for their feed is a highlight of any visit. Now you can be part of the action and actually help feed them from our feeding platform.

Our Nile Crocodile Feeding Experience gives you a unique opportunity to have a go at feeding some of our hungry Nile Crocodiles and witness their speed and power from our secure elevated feeding platform. This incredible experience is available everyday of the week and is limited to two people per session.

*Please note that a face mask is compulsory to participate in his experience. Children MUST be aged 14 years and over. It seems obvious, but we need to remind participants that crocodiles are carnivores and therefore will be fed on dead animals such as mice, rats, chopped chicken and fish. Gloves will be provided.
