Philippine Crocodile
The Philippine Crocodile is one of the rarest and most endangered crocodile species in the world. Endemic to the Philippines, this critically endangered reptile is found in freshwater habitats such as rivers, marshes, and lakes, where it plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance.
Smaller than many of its relatives, the Philippine Crocodile grows to around 3 metres in length. Despite its size, it’s a powerful predator, feeding on fish, amphibians, and small animals. It’s also known for being more solitary and less aggressive towards humans compared to other crocodilian species.
Due to habitat destruction, human conflict, and historical hunting, wild populations have dramatically declined. At Crocodiles of the World, we are proud to care for and support the conservation of this incredibly rare species, helping raise awareness of the urgent need to protect one of the world’s most threatened reptiles.
